iPhone vs Blackberry? What's the better phone?
June 20, 2009: The great debate is around which phone is better, the iPhone 3G S or the Blackberry Storm/Bold? Everyone that owns a iPhone seems to rave about it and everyone that owns a blackberry seems to call out the flaws with the iPhone. So I ask again, which is the better phone?

I've personally used blackberry's for years and recently moved to an iPhone. In my opinion the blackberry was the best phone in 2007 hands down, but the iPhone is the phone of 2014. I feel like I'm living in the future everytime I used it. What do you think? See the reviews below.

I also asked blackberry users if the iPod touch would satisfy their needs. Vote to view responses:

Anonymous (10/28): the iphone puts the blackberry to shame. I bet blackberry comes out with a touchscreen blackberry device (report)
Anonymous (11/4): you can't beat the iphone touchscreen and the software behind it. (report)
Anonymous (11/13): Blackberry has better email, but eaiser to read email on the iphone. The web is better on the iphone. Volumn is better on blackberry. (report)
Anonymous (12/21): Apple is back with another whack. The iPhone just sucks just like the Ramones. All they ever had was the ipod which is now just a little freaking peapod. Now they come up and say Hey, look we have a brand new pod, but now it's buried in sod. (report)
Anonymous (12/30): I switched from a BB Curve (AT&T) to an Iphone about a month ago and have been very impressed with the unit. However, there are numerous shortcomings compared to the BB. Having changed PDA type phones several times I can honestly say that none of them are perfect. Regardless which one I've had, I have always craved features on another. Bottom line, at least with the Iphone the web browsing is PC-like, emails are easier to read, and the unit is down right cool. Whether or not I stay with Iphone long term depends on how quickly they fix their shortcomings. I'm hoping the February update will take care of some! (report)
Anonymous (1/11): I've used a BBerry Curve intensely for 30 days. Home user, no Enterprise. Mac. No joy. BBerry is nice but sync probs aggravate. Traded in for iPhone and in 1 hour all was fine, in fact perfect. I'll never switch back! (report)
Anonymous (1/22): This, to anonymous's post on 11/15, I think you need to re-evaluate some of your facts. For one, if you start a text and a phone call comes in, when you end the call it goes right back to your text. Also, it is extremely easy to enter numbers and email addresses from an email to your address book by just touching it and adding it to your contact. I would also like to mention that synching the iPhone is extremely smooth compared to the blacberry. If I had more time I would go through and correct all of your other missleading theories about the iPhone, but I urge you to make sure your facts are correct before you put them on them on a review and sway peoples decisions on what to buy. (report)
Anonymous (1/22): The list of things that anonymouse gives for things that the iphone does poorly has a lot of flaws, and what is right I would rather do without becasue of the iPhones magnificent technology. Also, I have a lot of female friends who own iPhones and the nails are not a problem at all (and why in the world would you want nails for a blackberry btw??) (report)
Anonymous (1/29): Wow, anonymous from 11/15 must not know what he is talking about, the iphone does tell you when you have a new email; there is a red circle on the postage stamp for "mail" with a number in it, that number is how many new emails you have. and it alerts you when you have a new text. Also the lock button is on the top right corner on top of the phone, not to hard to find. not to mention you can find all the help you need online in the "fingertips" videos on apples website (which you, incidentally, you can watch from the iphone). you also can jump to the bottom of a page; just touch the bottom of the scroll bar :-P. also no need for speed dial you have the favorites section; so unless you have 30-40 speed dials this should work almost as fast as speed dial. (report)
Anonymous (1/29): Cont'd from above; the calender thing i don't know what to tell you, he must have absolutely no clue what he is doing with it because it is very easy to input and change the calender. also, why would you want a zoom on these cameras? there is no point, they are 2MP, fixed lens so it would be digital; so as if the quality wasn't bad enough w/ 2MP imagine it at .5MP when you are zoomed in. Also if you can't remember how you organized your contacts then you shouldn't own a smart phone. also the voice memo, don't need it that is what notepad is for. not to mention the phone goes back to the email after the call. so i hope anyone who reads the anti-iPhone post reads this. (heres a plus, it looks better, stores much more, syncs easier with iTunes, and is actually easy to learn) (report)
Anonymous (1/31): They actually both suck compared to the treo 680. I gave my treo 650 up for an iphone and I sorely miss the physical keyboard, goodlink, SD-slot, reasonably responsive webbrowser and email client. (report)
Anonymous (1/31): They actually both suck compared to the treo 680. I gave my treo 650 up for an iphone and I sorely miss the physical keyboard, goodlink, SD-slot, reasonably responsive webbrowser and email client. I tried the blackberry curve, but its webbrowser was even worse (scroll around to find the google search field?), and I don't at all like how the trackball feels. (report)
anon123 (2/15): I LOVE the iPhone... its amazing and anyone who says anything different is crazy! (report)
Anonymous (2/16): I actually undoubtedly know more them you; blackberry has an inferior OS, crap for onboard memory, bad music support, bad OS X support, not to mention not so infrequent service outages, and a very crappy key board (try using that POS with anything but small fingers or with one hand!!!) not to mention that windows vista was probably the worst new technology of the year, and Mac products are in every way superior to Microsoft, Dell, HP, Gateway, Sony, Etc. name me one windows computer with 8 cores @ 2.8GHz, expandable to 16Gb ram, 3TB HDD for $2799? (report)
yo123 (2/21): iphone's are the best phone out right now and thy will be until apple makes a new one so all yall haters get over it man apple is the absolute best brand for computers an phones so go suck a big $&!? Mmkayy just get over yall cheap ass phones and admit it iPhones are the best. Yea I am a very proud mac and iPhone owner. : ) I got my phone the day it came out and I still love It and apple has made updates and things for it which is just gonna make it better and yall can bate on it more..oh yea and voyagers are straight up gay they look cheap and if your gonna make it touchscreen go all the way baby not just half the phone that's pretty fucking gay to me.well I don't have to prove myself anymore iPhones are the best and they will stay that way. So get over it and go buy one. (report)
Anonymous (3/20): Black Berry is for old people, the iphone is for the younger generation. So if your old like over 30 use the Black Berry you'll like that more then the iPhone. :) (report)
Anonymous (4/10): zzzzzzzzzzzzz (report)
Anonymous (4/17): The iPhone is THE MOST OVERRATED phone in history. Everyone thinks its "sooooo awesome" because of its user interface, which, admittedly IS very nice. The greatness of the phone ends there, though. I own a MacBook and love Apple products, but the iPhone is the most overrated of all of them, and BlackBerry is a far superior phone. Why? 1. E-mail: Blackberry's Push E-mail blows the iPhone out of the water. I get e-mails forwarded to my phone in seconds from all three of my e-mail addresses, where as you have to waste battery life on the iPhone to log to your various e-mail accounts and search for new mail. 2. AT&T sucks! I couldn't even make calls from my house in a city with over a million people. I would rather be without a phone than have to have one on AT&Ts shitty network. 3. BlackBerrys are 3G, iPhones aren't. The EDGE network sucks. The internet is great and looks cool, but the fact that you have to wait 20 minutes for a page to load really detracts from that. 4. The Full screen keyboard on the 8830 and Curve is SO much better than trying to type on a screen. Think about it: would you really rather your computer's keyboard be on a touch screen rather than feeling the keys? I don't think so. (report)

ltcdrdata (4/18): Even though most a lot of the criticism on the iphone is correct I still give it a slight advantage over the BB, because the iPhone is a 1.0 product that still needs to mature. And seeing the updates we have and the upcoming 2.0 version it will get better and better and just like when I switched from Windows to OS X after some time I will wonder how I could work with 'that system' As for the points here to the right 4. copy paste -> real shortcoming will be resolved in a next version I'm sure of that. 5 No help, haven't needed any help ! The iPhone if frigging userfriendly. 5. lock on demand : top key. 6. Draft email: really miss that hopefully next version. 7 ring profiles never needed them, used them and found them a Pita because I often forgot to override them and missed some important calls, I prefer manually muting the phone. 8. search can be done using third party soft and will be in next version. 10 Dead right!!! 11. use the (third party) find function. 12 I'm on a Mac now, syncing is PERFECT. 13-14 no need for that. 15 DEAD right really miss that feature (which my Sony Ericsson had too). 16 mmm you mentioned this in 4 already. 17: third party camera software solves this and even more !!!. 18. never had any problems with that. So for me only a few of your points stand up, and those will hopefully be solved with a next upgrade. I can live with them for that long since the iPhone is giving me some other feature that I can't live without anymore (eg web browsing experience.) (report)

Anonymous (6/10): Once iPhonw has Active Sync Push I feel it will surpass Blackberry's Enterprise Activation! I can't wait to switch over! (report)
Anonymous (6/11): the touch screen beats it hand down and i have had both (report)
Anonymous (6/18): Yeah, nobody NEEDS all that stuff; but considering that the iPhone 3G is going to do all the $hit the Black berry does, just, you know, well; I can't see RIM lasting more than a year or two. (report)
CornbreadandFebreeze (7/14): i really want an iphone, but i also want a blackberry curve!!! i dont know what to get!!! (report)
Anonymous (7/15): overrated, only purpose is to satisfy smugness (report)
Anonymous (8/18): i have an ipod touch and i like it more than a blackberry. i never really liked berries or blacks so im no buying one. Because just like berries it might look good but it taste bad. And not to be racist but blacks dont work. (report)
eric (10/10): ? (report)
blackberrykiller (11/14): blackberry??? more like blueberry. iphone is the sh*ttttt. you can't compare the blackberry with an iphone. that's like comparing BMW to a donkey. blackberry being the donkey of course for you people that don't get it this. so hands down iphone is the sh*ttt. (report)
hahaha (12/10): ihave an iphone and itz da BBBBEEEEESSSSTTTTT way better dan dat blueberry phone (report)
hahaha (12/10): better (report)
Anonymous (12/18): With the iPhone 2.2 software, and the intro of the App Store - everything the blackberry does is now possible. Not to mention that there are 10,000 apps and probably as many developers grinding away at making the iPhone even better. Copy and paste that into your business model RIM! (report)
Anonymous (12/27): It's Mac what more can I say. (report)
Anonymous (12/27): I have found there is a lot of miss information about the Iphone. Mostly from die hard BlackBerry fans.I have many friens with Blackberry phones and was going to get one (having used my friends before) until my wife got an Iphone after only a few minutes of seeing what it can do (and much easier than a BB) I have changed my mind. Before assuming a device cannot do something first find out if it actually can do it and the right way to work the device. (report)
mikey5oh (1/21): I just switched from the iphone to the BB Curve 8330 about a week ago and I'm debating whether or not to go back to the iphone (That's how I came across this site). I have to honestly say that I was very turned off with the BB for the first few days, but I decided to stick it out. They both have their pros and cons in my opinion. I personally feel that not only is the iPhone much more user friendly and easier to use, but it doesn't take as many steps to get things done as compared to the BB. I find that with the BB, you have to go thru more steps and button pushing then with the iPhone to navigate thru the applications. Text messaging and emails are more organized with the iPhone as compared to a BB (which is a big issue with me and other BB users from what I hear). The big size screen is definitley a plus as well. Visual voice mail is also pretty nice to have. Once youget used to that option, it's hard to go back to the standard way of listening to voice mails. The cons of the iPhone in my opinion are - 1.)No copy and paste,2.) no MMS, 3.)No fowarding text messages, 4.)No flash for the camera, 5.) not able to take video, 6.)the vibrate mode is weak, 7.)battery life stinks, not to mention that you don't even have the option to carry a spare battery with you because the battery does not come out of the phone. 8.)Speaker phone is not as clear or as loud as a BB. And for a company that is supposed to be so advanced, I can't for the life of me understand why all these features just mentioned aren't available. I know all about the technology game, waiting for the next model to come out with another feature so that you're more likely to buy the newer model, but come on.. these features have been available on $50 phones YEARS AGO. As for the BB, even though I feel that you have to go thru more steps to use the phone, there is definitey more control over things. SO when all said and done, I think that I'm sticking with the BB. (report)
Anonymous (5/28): i hate touch screens (report)
Anonymous (6/24): Love the iPhone, and fact not fiction, the BB couldn't do most of what i require from a mobile work phone. Having said that, i don't think it's right to say one is better hands down, as different people require different outcomes. For me - iPhone wins hands down, for my mother, or a less literate phone user that requires less technical support to get things working = blackberry is the best (report)
Anonymous (6/25): blackberry is awesome and i phone is not the best blackberry is a little thing that has email whether games gps and camera and browser and it is made by the rim and i phone is apple so i phone and if you like i phone get DSi and there and blackberry has a keybord and rim and apple does the dume i tunes and sorry if i made some mastacks (report)
Anonymous (6/27): with the newer updates, most of what was missing between the two is there. but on thing is for certain, Black berry is a pain to debrand and hack, especially with the pin thing. (report)
Anonymous (6/28): My sister has a bb and she loves it, I just got an iphone and I love it. I decited to get one because I know how amazing apple products are and why they have been around so long. The only reason ppl talk crap about the iphone and Apple in general is because they cant afford one. Boo Hoo to them. (report)
OxD (7/3): You blackberry guys already know what it is. iPhone rules what ever u can do we could do better. PS AT&T need to stop playing with us and let all features out tethering, mms & so on (report)
Anonymous (7/6): Is it me or are a majority of the responses siding with the iPhone considerably immature? (report)
Anonymous (7/11): pretty (report)
Anonymous (7/13): i have a black berry storm and my brother in law has a iphone.. i love my storm but its not a iphone.. i love everything about the iphone besides theres no led indacator light. but everything about the iphone is amazing i cant get one till i get a job or my contract runs out. (report)
Anonymous (7/18): iPhone puts the Blackberry to bed. EEnough said! Everything about it... its just perfect. Music, email, web, looks great, touch screen, amazing games, the best accelerometer; all the functionality of what I personally (and what a lot of people need) in one amazing looking device. Forget ten out of ten, the iPhone deserves a FIFTEEN out of ten Ha Ha!! (report)
Anonymous (7/21): i really cant decide. i see them both being the same phone except for the click screen on the storm. i like that feature. i have wanted a storm for a wile but im unhappy with verizons service and i may switch to a t&t. what should i do? (report)
Anonymous (7/24): 99% of the things that people say they iphone doesnt have, it does, and they are all way easier to find than on a blackberry. Any of the things it didnt have, which were only a few, it has on the new version. I'm about to buy one actually but I've done enough research to know it HAS those things. Even my ipod has half of the things they say the iphone doesnt! (report)
youcoco (7/24): FACEOFF BLACKBERRY VS IPHONE iphone is awesumeeeeeeeeee cuz the app store :P i can get anything i want literally :O its game graphics are beating nintendo ds and evan psp at times :O and if u can get word exel every office tool imaginable you can evan load files on your computer with an orb app and you have as much memory as your computer. the ipod is amazing and with the update you dont evan need to go to the computer to buy movies you can download it right from your phone! an now iphone 3gs is beating every thing the copy paste feature is now in the iphone afterr the 3.0 OS update!!! people say that the blackberry is fast and nice for surfing the web but blackberry doesnt hav a good browser and touch technology gets very usefull!! its a game consoule a portable movie player a remote, a music itentifyer, a phone (duh), a search engine, a computer file browser, a ipod , a gps, a compass (3gs), a handy balance tool, a steering wheel, a mail cheaker, a texter, a voice recorder, a guitar hero game (tap tap, ddr, guitar hero),has quran, bible, and every religious app, a remote control, a rocket mobile internet stick, a media player, a clock, a camrea a super duper phone i barly go on my laptop becuz i have it!! OMG THIS IS A SUPER PHONE !! (report)
Anonymous (7/25): You people need to get a life !!!! (report)
Anonymous (7/30): I had a 5 blackberry's over a three year span then got an iPhone. Why? App's Store, Maps, iPod, and If you have a Mac and an iPhone then the two systems iTunes, E-mails, Contacts, Calendars, and Photos sync very easily, especially if you have a MobileMe Account. And yes some of the perks of the blackberry are missed (texting, spell check, and themes), but I promise for everything 1 thing a Blackberry can do an iPhone cannot there are 2 things that a iPhone is capable of that Blackberry is not. (report)
Anonymous (8/4): both iphone and blackberry are stupid phone...not for whole world can be use but only for stupid "ANG MO" (report)
Anonymous (8/4): The iPhone is definitely the better phone. MUCH easier to use. Can push any IMAP mail service through nuevasync.com. The problems with the BB (while quite good) are 1) You need to have a BB Enterprise Server for Exchange, the iPhone just lets you setup exchange 2) Can't have multiple calendars unless using exchange 3) You only get access to your inbox, the iPhone gives you access to ALL IMAP folders 4) Certain things are just too hard to customise and are not as logical as the iphone 5) the physical keyboard is not nearly as good as the iPhones 6) Push IM is achievable at no extra cost you can just download a free app. Push e-mail is also free through yahoo or $25 (£15-ish) through nueva sync rather than £5 per month. 7) Touch screen means that the you don't have a keyboard which is useless 80% of the time in the way. 8) Lack of customisation of POP/IMAP/SMTP setup is annoying. 9) Having a ringer switch is better that having a camera shutter button for me 10) All settings are in one place, why does the BB need to have Options and Setup in separate places? 11) Following on from the e-mail folders, you can access a draft made at your desk on your phone making the e-mail facility much more useful. 12) HTML e-mail works properly 13) Accelerometer makes reading e-mail browsing the web better 14) Web browser is second to none, thought I would miss flash, but I don’t 15) iPod is awesome, you can't play video as well on the BB 16) iTunes store, buying music on the move, love it. So far as I can tell there is not a single feature of the BB that makes it a better business phone. On top of this, as a lifestyle media phone (like the Nokia N series is meant to be) the iPhone comes out on top with that too. The only case that I can see for going for the BB is if you have large finger nails that stop you from using the touch screen. Anyone else who criticises the iPhone's kb just hasn't tried to use it because it's miles ahead of the plastic buttons on a BB. (report)
kooleecoyote (8/10): I have had them all. I am a systems admin and while I do know some advantages of the blackberry on the server level, anyone with exchange server will be money ahead to just implement iphone. If you want true sync with outlook and you don't want to keep your computer running you have to buy blackberry server for 3k and 100 dollars per user. And pay for someone to install it, preferably with full scale sql. more money, and even more preferably it's own server or virtual server, more money. true iphone does not sync tasks I can't understand that shortcoming, even with the new 3gs? Blackberry is more secure but with exchange 2007 remote wipe is very easy and you do have a lot more security than before. NO CONTEST>> IPHONE KILLS EVERYTHING (report)
Anonymous (8/24): I am a former blackberry user. I can say that my iPhone is much superior. But I have come to learn that both are good fr different things. Solution: Keep both with one SIM card. (report)
BLiNK (8/25): iPhone is the best. Put it on me. You won't regret. People just don't know how to use the iPhone properly. That's porbably why. Plus the plan for 30 bucks is a good deal, unlimited gps, apps uses, and even internet. (report)
Anonymous (9/2): I recently moved to Montana where ATT has no presence and my iphone doesn't work as well up here. I love my iphone. I recently bought a Blackberry storm and am having a tough time getting used to it. I WANT MY IPHONE TO WORK UP HERE!!!! (report)
Anonymous (9/8): iPhone rocks!!! (report)
Anonymous (9/8): i have both, but i the iphone is easier to use. the simplicity of it is just awesome. plus, jailbreaking makes it better. btw, the 3.0 upgrade has voice memos, cut and paste, and you CAN save #s from emails, and search. i liked the blackberry, but its too...uncomfortable. i LOVE my iphone. deal with it (report)
Anonymous (9/17): I went to the at&t store to look at an iphone I liked everything about it well we switched carriers I got a blackberry I was dumb spent $100 on phone I can't do much on the phone I could do almost anything on I can't check my emails on a blackberry on sites I'm on makes me log into a computer to do that there's games I can't access on here cause you need java I'm extremely unhappy with the blackberry and there's other problems too I go to call people and the thing would make you think there was a dropped call only to find out that the mute button was pressed. Iphone is better (report)
enderjnets (9/17): iphone is more than a phone is a computer in the palm of your hands (report)
Anonymous (9/17): I'm writing this review from my iPhone. I love my iPhone and could never go back to a regular flip phone. It really is the future and blackberry has already followed suit with the storm which is inferior IMO. Just try an iPhone 1 time and you'll be hooked. (report)
Mitchelino (9/27): I bought an iPod touch a while back and loved it a lot. I decided to buy an iPhone 3GS (I'm in University and needed a phone as people had trouble contacting me in my first year). So I bought the iPhone and using it is very simple and intuitive. It helps me manage my many email accounts (gmail, MobileMe, university account, etc.). The voice control works great for when I'm on the go, and the Maps app is super handy when I get lost in town. The compas saves me the trouble of checking street names, and all my iPod touch apps work on it! I have a few friends with Blackberries who have negative feedback (due to not knowing how everything works). I myself don't understand how it works. I like touching an icon to open something. But pick whatever suits you best. Find a friend with an iPhone, try it, then find a friend with a Blackberry and try it. See what's best for you, that's what matters (report)
Anonymous (10/2): I think that the iPhone is about 10000000000000000000 times better for business and for fun!!!!!!!! But I've never owned a Blackberry so the answer is a little hazy. (report)
Anonymous (10/4): since iphone came out with 3G S, blackberry users shouldnt have anything to say. iPhones are way better. Theres MMS, video, and copy and paste. the blackberry users that said they swtiched from using the iphone was because you are retards and dont know how to work it. (report)
Anonymous (10/7): iPhone has so much more potential. "Theres an app for pretty much anything" (report)
Anonymous (10/12): iPhone has better email, call quality, an app for anything, far better user interface, and is at least twice as fast at any given task than the blackberry. It was a no-brainer for me to switch to the iPhone, as the keyboard is better for people with bigger hands. Who has fingertips small enough to use the BB keyboard? Little boys. (report)
dandavis (10/15): its so much better more advanced and only black people have blackberrys cos the walk around all day saying babe babe can i have ur pin babe babe!!!!! (report)
Anonymous (10/18): iPhone is way better IMO , most flaws were fixed with the latest update and plus it is a much more capable device hardware wise and its virtual keboard works great for me plus it's screen is amazing specially when. It comes to sunlight readablility !!!! (report)
Anonymous (10/19): The guy who made the two posts on the left is the biggest thicko in the world. I mean. If you don't like the phone, take it back! I am also really annoyed because if was as busy as he says he is, I'm sure he would have seen an advert for 3.0! Yeah, that corrects most of your sad ass complaints. Can the blackberry view websites like an iPhone? Are there 10,000 apps available to download direct to the device? Stupid stupid stupid, iPhone all the way. PS I typed all this on an iPhone in about 2 mins. :-) (report)
Anonymous (10/20): iphone is the phone 10 yeaqrs ahead of its time! I love it! I had a blackberry, big disappointment! too cumbersome. (report)
Anonymous (10/22): One word: JAILBREAK. I can play fucking Gameboy, PSX, and SNES games on my iPhone. Can your BB do THAT?! (report)
Anonymous (10/22): Only thing wrong with the iPhone is their contract with AT&T. >_> (report)
xuyewklongxl2 (10/29): I've read along for quite a while now and still am unsure! Is there anywhere or anyone who has made up some comparison sheet or can someone at least answer a few questions I have now formed after reading. Anonymous brought up a lot of things I like about my blackberry that the iphone can't do so I just wonder! I really like starting to type in a name and it brings up contacts that have that letter in any position and then add the second letter and it narrows it down. It has been handy when I saved doctors offices and stuff and search for them later. I also wondered about the cut and paste or adding phone numbers and emails from other texts, emails, etc. Most of anonymous' problems seemed like possible user error but some seemed valid! Can anyone elaborate or let me know if improvements have been made that weren't noted! Also, I saw that someone said that the iphone has a number indicating new texts, emails, etc but that still isn't an LED warning light. Something like on the upper corner of the BB that flashes if you have your phone on silent to show there is something new! Please help! (report)
Anonymous (11/1): I use iphone 3gs and i really crazy about it. This phone answer all my need. and i totally agree with you that i feel like I'am living in 2014. (report)
kemkem (11/2): By all standard I am computer geek and I can tell when a phone is good or sucks. Iphone is far better than blackberry. I currently carry the two phones. I have blackberry on sprint network and iphone on AT&T network. the iphone beats the blackberry hands down. It is easy to surf the web, easy to read e-mails, and perfect in washing movies. I listen to online NPR radio on my iphone every morning while driving to work. In fact, the features of iphone are numerous to completely analyse on this forum. Iphone is currently the best PDA device in the world. (report)
Anonymous (11/3): The iPhone is best for children and play time. It's a toy (report)
Anonymous (11/6): I know ppl that have a blackberry storm, and hate the touch interface, the storm 2 isn't much better. Also ppl with verizon windows smart phones create mods to install on them to make them like the iPhone! Everyone knows they want an iPhone and all the bad reports are from ppl that are jealous they don't have one, so they'd rather just diss it! (report)
Anonymous (11/10): the bb buttons hurt my thumbs after a while of pressing them, and sometimes they get stuck, meanwhile it doesnt bother my thumbs at all to use the iPhone. The iPhone also has a much bigger screen plus you are able to zoom, which you cannot do on the bb (report)
Anonymous (11/10): Hmm... the last anonym (11/15) is sure stupid iphone user then.. 1. No Voice Memo -> Got one here ;). May be... you need to check your eye to doctor? 2. No Voice text. You mean, voice recognition? :D 3. Auto Text: You can use iphone's autocorrection feature. 4. No help feature: Why? You need one? You install them YOURSELF, and you need for YOURSELF? 5. Can't lock on demand? A hint.. see that power button up there? Press it. It is your "lock on demant" 6. No draft? You can save one. Or, is it missing? Check on draft folder. Anyway, if you really use iphone, you'll know that iPhone's email won't close. It is one of TSR application that always run on the background. So you'll never lose it. 7. No Ring profiles.. hmm... that's true.. wail.. I'll download one from Cydia.. Ah.. there.. it is installed. Done.. I got my ring profile now. 8. Search feature? BAAA KAAA.. Double tap your home screen. Type anything you want there. It'll look in ANYWHERE. Be it in your email, web, application, sms, contact, any where in phone's database. 9. Same thing basically. You press Shift, and press the button. 10. This is correct.. The only one right out of those complaints. (report)

Anonymous (11/13): I am looking to upgrade my phone soon, I don't know what, the iPhone or a new BB? I have had two BB's now, the 8700 and a pearl 8110. My wifes pearl is very tempermental when it comes to charging it, it will only work with some chargeers, the trackballs on the BB eventually go yellow and start to stick, so the iPhone sounds better as it has no buttons, I am wondering about battery life of an iphone? No one seems to comment on that, I would thing with the big screen, that it would not last long, I know I only have to charge my bb every couple of days. The app choices seem better on the Iphone, what I really like about the blackberry is the customizable themes, does iphone do any thing like that? (report)
Anonymous (11/16): Dear Anonymous (11/15), as I copy and paste your name on my iPhone, I realize that most of your facts are just completely incorrect. With several of them being ouright lies. I'm pretty sure you just have no idea how to use your phone. There is a voice memo, you can search for anything on the phone, it locks on demand automatically, there is speed dialing. Did you even open the box? 9 of your facts are wrong 10 if you count the fact that you put doesn't have cut and paste twice. (report)
Guercio (11/17): I had a blackberry since it first came out I thought I could do everthing on it when I fell into the iPhoneS I currently have I found out that I can do more with the iPhone and I can do things on it that the blackberry would freeze and lock up if I even thought of doing it. iPhoneS is a better invention then the wheel. Sincerly Marco Guercio (report)
Anonymous (11/21): Well. I read this site before I made my choose to upgrade. I reAd the site on a blackberry, and now I am writing this on an Iphone :). I honestly think that both phones are great, it just depends on what you use the phone for. My wife upgraded to a BB bold Nd it is also a great phone. She does a lot of texting so the BB is better for her. I also like the feeling of real keys, but I am getting use to this pretty quick. The black berry is food for the customizable themes and ring profiles. The iPhone is better for me cause I use it for web browsing, and emails also look much better on the iPhone, I like the fact that I have an iPod on hear too. Switching between 3G and wifi seems better on the iPhone too. So, I would say it really depends on what you need the phone for. (report)
f3154r (11/23): Anonymous (11/15), did you use an iPhone you bought in 2007, or do you have mental problems? Half of your descriptions are totally lost. iPhone can do a lot of them. Now beat this: 100.000+ applications available for download!!! Hey, iPhones are for people who have brains, not for robots. (report)
reason1 (11/24): I actually downgraded from a 3g iphone to a blackberry bold.Because i wanted to see what so special about a blackberry. Well it maybe good for your business and may be more secure than the iphone, however there's a good reason why most cell phone manufacturers are switching from regular keyboard to a touchscreen. I don't undrestand how blackberry user can live on a tiny screen to perform all that they need in a day. The so-called bb storm came out as a challenge to the iphone, no wonder you can buy one now on Ebay for as little as $129.99. I sold one back for freezing and unresponsive screen also got stuck after installing the new O.S 5.0 on it. look just like religion blackberry users want to stick with what they know and what they are used to and what they can operate. There's a good reason why millions of iphones have been sold in such very little time.IT MIGHT NOT BE PERFECT BUT IT'S THE FUTURE. GO to CRACKBERRYCOM. they even have: slide to unlock, iphone themes for blackberry users etc... I DON'T SEE IPHONE GEEKS COPYING BLACKBERRY.SO if you love your blackberry stay with it, IT WILL SURELY GIVE YOU THE FEELING OF THE 70'S AND 90'S IF YOU LOVE YOUR IPHONE then WELCOME TO THE FUTURE. paki87 (12/8): The Iphone can do all the jazz, 1.has voice memo, 2. has a voice text option all you need to do is download it, 3. it has auto text but its not an annoying one where you type in letter and it EXPECTS it'll be a word no it has auto spell too. 4. has a full search/ help menu if you scroll the menu to the left it can search your entire phone and the web if you choose all from that one page. 5.it does have lock on demand just cause you AREN'T ADVANCED enough to find it doesnt mean its not there! 6. has draft option once again not that advanced if you cant find it. 7. you can set multiple ringers to different people or groups you can even record a certain part of a song you like! 8. once again the search feature is there scroll the whole menu page to the right and BADABING your searching away 9. you can hold down to Capitoline 10. you can do anything on this phone if you take the time to learn it. there are all kinds of crazy little things that the phone an do that they dont tell you about, you have to find them or ask your apple store team member (report)
Anonymous (12/9): I have used a blackberry and an iPhone and the iPhone 3gs gets my vote! Voice activated dialing and song search/ command and voice activated google. Apps, need I say more? How about free classes or conciage service at apple store, online support? Yep, apple goes an extra mile and has outstanding customer support, etc. I would never go back to a bberry, Apples look better, has more taste and has the whole pie. Have no problem with syncing, cut n paste, web browsing, getting and sending emails on more then one account! I could go on, but have more things to do on my iPhone!!! (report)

lol33 (12/28): The iphone is better then the blackberry for many reasons...well at least the ones i can name. so iphone has all the features that the ipod touch has with a phone. like thats perfect, the only bad thing about the iphone is the ridiculous plan that they stick you with at AT&T. soo iphone itself is better then blackberry, but the blackberry has a more flexible plan. its up to you rlly. (report)
TaMiiZ (12/31): The iphone is alot better than the blackberry because it has a wider screen and is more slim and compact unlike the blackberry which is thick and has a tiny screen with a large keybord which is not beautiful. The iphone has better graphics. (report)

Anonymous (1/5): I've had the 3G iPhone for 18 months now and when my contract was up I was in two minds of what to do. Stick or twist? In the past i have been very fickle with phones, getting bored after a few months. However, my iPhone was different. I thought i would try a BB Bold 9700 for a change. Got it out the box for one night. The next morning when faced with leaving my iPhone at home i just couldn't do it. The BB sat in the box for a few more days before i took it back to the shop. Here's why. My iPhone does everything i need it to and more. There are a lot of comments on here about issues that have been resolved with updates. Here are my favourite things. It stops me from getting lost, i can immediately see who's text me and the first few lines of their message, I can carry around thousands of songs in iTunes and listen to thousands more with my spotify account, there are apps for everything under the sun, an interface so easy my 3 year old neice (no lie) can unlock it and pick out the camera app. The facebook app is so easy that i rarely use the main site anymore. I hated it on BB. Its so much faster and easier to use. Things i don't like. No FM radio, very limited choice of ringtones that can't be changed. That's it. I almost feel like i've been spoilt forever. I can't go back to anything else now cos nothing is ever going to be as good. (report)
Anonymous (1/6): Seems like iPhone users are logical in their comments while those using BBs are sour graping. (report)
Anonymous (1/6): I agree with Anonymous (7/6)the iphone users have nothing really to defend other than dissing the BB -__- very immature. heres my decision im making this weekend - its also found in the other one too, because seems like people are only reading one side only... sooo heres what i gotta say: OoOo, so i spent an hour reading posts of people spazzing at eachother. people are saying that the iphone is better because theres wi-fi music blah blah, and the BB is better when it comes to using it as a phone... so - im going to get a BB, sorry iphone users and an itouch? its a perfect combo, for music and entertainment and wi-fi, i can use the itouch, and the BB has everything a phone needs and more even.. I do believe that the iphone is just a glorified itouch. I would like to hear more from a person who has actually used both the blackberry and the iphone.. but from seeing the comments... where there were people who have used both phones. They say they like to use blackberry better as for a phone, and those against it say the iphone has better internet.. so .. from all my talking, i guess what im trying to say is... IF THE IPHONE HAS BETTER INTERNET AND THAT MUSIC STUFF, JUST GET THE ITOUCH FOR THAT.. the iphone cannot be comparable to a good phone. its just a music device with a shitty phone with it. but to actually have a worthy not glorified piece of music device.. GET A BLACK BERRY WITH IT ... who likes my combo? itouch+blackberry, it makes alot of sense to me. (report)

jje (1/12): I have 2 BB Curves, and I decided to switch to iphone for the following reasons: 1)BB sync software causes pc startup to lag. 2) difficult and time consuming to download camera photos from bb to pc. 3) surfing web sucks so bad that i dont use it anymore. 4) Apps are not as easy to use when using the rollerball. 5) difficult to manage multiple instant messages due to rollerball. 6) The photos on BB are not that great compared with iphone photos my friends take. For telephone, email and address book; i love the blackberry. But, I really want a web-friendly, and social network-friendly phone; that also allows me to take good photos. (report)

WhySoSerious (2/1): I love iPhone more than BlackBerry for many reasons. I got tired of BlackBerry seeing it everywhere with everyone. Plus, the only reason why everyone likes a BlackBerry is because of the internet. BB Owners should do something other than 24 hour internet and BBM. iPhone looks more sophisticated anyway and has more options, and applications. Beat that BB Owners! =P (report)

sgtpatiolantern (2/3): The iPhone is a dream come true! There are so many things it can do. I work out of town quite a bit and my iPhone acts as my laptop/text messenger/phone/gaming console/movie player(attach to TV with component cable)/mp3 player, just to mention a few. There are so many accessories for this wonderful device. For my needs, you can't beat the iPhone. I had a Nokia E62 which is like a Blackberry knockoff. The iPhone is a superior phone. As far as a real Blackberry is concerned, I cannot comment on what I do not know about. If it is similar to an E62, you may be found wanting. (an iPhone! LOL) (report)

Anonymous (11/15): Possibly very few will read this post but I'm taking the time from my busy day to say that if you truly need the features of the blackberry, no fun iphone screens will replace the blackberry. I've had my iphone for less than 24 hrs and here's what the iphone "does not" have in comparison to the blackberry 8800: 1. No voice memo option 2. No voice text option 3. No auto text (I set up in my blackberry that if I type "plmk" it types out "please let me know" and a 100 other auto texts I set up to be fast and efficient 4. No cut and paste (are you kidding me?) 4. No help feature within the phone itself 5. Can't find how to lock it on demand (so I don't push keys in my pocket). It locks itself with a certain minute setting I set but not on demand. 6. No draft option for emails or texts (I was in the middle of a long one, my phone rang, poof, my email was gone when I hung up. 7. No ring profiles (at night I put my bb 8800 in phone only mode for emergiencies and then texts and emails don't ring all night 8. No search feature (for finding emails, texts, calls or subject matters) 9. Capitalization requires two strokes on the keyboard, bb8800 only one (holding down the key) 10. No way to jump to the bottom of a long email or texts or to the bottom of a list of emails or texts Continued in next post. (report)
Anonymous (11/15): Continued from above. 11. Calls - omg, this is the worst. No way to start typing the name of the person I want to call. I have to remember how I organized their name in my almost 700 list of contacts in order to call them. 12. Doesn't sync the tasks from my Outlook 13. No speed dialing 14. No LED light to tell me I have missed a call, have a text, email or alarm. I have to physically pick up the phone to look at it. 15. No way to easily add a phone number contained in the text of an email and add it to address book (in the bb8800 you select the number, menu, add to address book, done!) 16. No cut and paste. Need I say more on this one! 17. No camera settings menu from the camera option, no zoom 18. My 1st calender entry repeated itself for a week (even though I coded it "repeat: none" and blocked out 8 hours for each of those days, even though it was a 1/2 hour appt.) Wonder what discoveries I'll find in the next 24 hours? Oh, I forgot, I'm bringing it back today. And having to pick up a new SIM card from my Blackberry store that dies when I had the iphone activiation. Wish I read a post like this before I got caught up in the iphone bedazzlement. (report)

Anonymous (11/29): Thank you anonymous poster for the list of things iphone does not have, just what i was looking for! (report)
trwatr (12/5): Thanks as well for the list of things the iphone does not have. I was so close to purchasing one. Actually, I bought the Palm Treo instead and it does all the features that you mentioned the Blackberry does and I'm a little surprised that the iphone (for it's price) doesn't have the simple features that you mentioned the bb has. So that means that there will be an upgrade on the iphohe really soon and that will suck for those who spent several hundred dollars on it. (report)
Anonymous (12/6): I took my iPhone back and bought a BlackBerry. I thought the iPhone was a glorifed iPod and nothing more. (report)

Anonymous (12/11): I believe that there is certainly no doubt that the iPhone is innovative, attractive and lots of "fun". Its tons of features are great and its interface is definitely groundbreaking. Unfortunately, it is mediocre as a phone. I really have nothing to add to the very well thought-out and comprehensive list that has already been provided here. I am also not comfortable with the iPhones complete reliance on the touch screen... I like the tactile feel of buttons to push. I am eagerly waiting for the Pearl 8120, which is the 8100, but with Wi-Fi, video capture and a few other goodies. Of course, it has already been released in EU and Asia, not in NA. (report)
iliveinmusic (12/17): Thanks for taking the time, Anonymous, just what I was looking for. (report)
duchess (12/21): I have tried both and most certainly the Blackberry has a better keyboard for texting and email. Girls, if you have nails, forget the iphone! You can not tap the screen of the iphone with your nails only the ball of your finger. Talk about frustrating! The Blackberry is the way to go! (report)
Anonymous (1/17): I'm torn myself on this decision, but I must say that there is a button on the top right of the iPhone that turns off the screen and locks it. You've done a nice job on this list, and I hate to see a hole, but I must say it took me less than 2 minutes to figure it out from nothing. As an additional insight, my daughter (14) suggests that iPhones are sort of for girls and BB's are sort of for boys (long nail issue notwithstanding). (report)
Anonymous (2/11): this guy is an idiot, he thinks that the iphone will push buttons in his pocket when the touch screen only responds to the touch of a finger. tard. (report)
Anonymous (2/16): The iPhone is a terrible email phone. It is the phone for those tools who will salivate over anything apple makes. Apple products are inferior and always will be. To me, the iPhone was the stupid invention of the year, until the 1 usb outlet Macbook Air came out. Apple rips off its customers and doesnt feel a bit of shame for it. They will keep making technologically terrible products knowing morons will buy them because they look good. The Blackberry is so much better than the iPhone in every facet. Another loss for Apple. (report)
Anonymous (2/16): A message to all Apple users: LEARN SOMETHING ABOUT TECHNOLOGY!!!!!!! (report)
Anonymous (2/17): Apple is not superior in any way! The fact that they aren't open source, like any other operating system shows that they are shit. They are probably the WORST operating system, with frequent crashes and very little mobility as far as functionality. They can keep their crappy little cult following. I phone to agree with the person above me, the Macbook Air is ridiculous on its face, and shows how little attention Apple pays to technology. They are the beauty queens lagging behind in a technology race. (report)
Anonymous (2/17): BTW, try using iPhone with one hand, idiot. HAHAHAHAHHA (report)
Anonymous (2/17): Right, thats why apple is growing faster than ever and more and more people are abandoning those POS windows machines, you ever wonder why windows has so many viruses, BECAUSE THEY ARE OPEN SOURCE you stupid bastard! and i actually have been using an iphone with one hand for quite a while. And the point of the Air is for super mobility, which it accomplishes beautifully. Also are you trying to tell me that Dell, HP, and the other windows computer companies are ahead of apple where is your proof? the MacBook Pro was the FIRST laptop to use anything over the 2.0GHz Core Duo processors, the 17" MacBook Pro has a higher resolution screen then 90% of the 20" monitors out there, the OS has ZERO viruses, is more organized, and actually works compared to ANY windows OS all of which are garbage, they crash, freeze, ask you retarded questions, get viruses, imitate (very poorly) everything OS X has, and just frankly should be banned from every computer system! (report)
Anonymous (2/24): Anonymous idiots from 2/17: neither Mac OS nor Windows are open source. Your ignorance of these facts make the rest of your opinions not very credible. (report)
Anonymous (2/28): ok, not open source, but more "open" then OS X happy you picky little ass. The point is windows is not near as secure as OS X is. (report)

bigcarpets (3/7): Thanks for taking the time to list those features below, it's definitely helped steer me towards the blackberry. Touchscreen aside, NO CUT AND PASTE!!?? seriously!! Seeing as this website quotes the following: "In my opinion the blackberry is the best phone in 2007 hands down, but the iPhone is the phone of 2014." I could cut and paste in 1989, so not very futuristic if you ask me (report)
Anonymous (3/9): If you couldn't find the on/off button on the top right side of the screen, maybe you didn't give the phone a chance. I don't trust any of the other things you listed if that was incorrect. Mac works different from Windows. Most of these things are likely there, just have find them and adjust to a new OS. I found once I adapted to the Mac OS, I couldn't believe how difficult Windows had been for all of those years. Mac is intuitive and logical. (report)
Anonymous (3/9): READ THE REBUTTALS... this person does not know what they are talking about... THE LIST OF "MISSING" FEATURES IS MERELY BECAUSE THE PERSON DIDN"T KNOW HOW TO USE THE PHONE. (report)
Anonymous (3/13): The only "Rebuttal" was on the Lock button. Otherwise, his list is right on. I'll add another one: The BB curve can do Bluetooth wireless listening to your music. On the iPhone, this requires a "hack" to fool the phone into letting you do it. Very modern of you Apple. But really, the thing that kills the iPhone for me is the totally religious adherence AppleFreaks have to anything they put out. One more thing: the reason there aren't many virus's on Macs is because they have less than 12% of the total personal computer market share and NOBODY CARES ENOUGH to write a virus for them (report)

The ONLY thing the iPhone has that's better than the curve is the full browser (safari). There's no way in hell I'd buy another iPhone. BlackBerry all the way thank you very much! I wouldn't mind having an iPod touch though just for the full browser. Music in the blackberry is fine too and you can get 4gb miniSD cards for like $30 shipped on ebay. (report)
Anonymous (4/20): I have and LOVE my BB Pearl. I bought an Iphone and it was the most stressful 6 days of my life. I returned it on the 7th day and couldn't wait to get my BB back up again. NO speed dialing. I call a few people A LOT, and I can just hold down a button (that I can feel, btw, without looking). Can't do that on the IPhone. My BB blinks when I have a new message/reminder/alarm/email. That Iphone just sat there all black. I had to pick it up, slide it to wake it up, then go through a ton of hassle just to see what's new. Sorry, but for email, BB rules. I would buy an iphone again if they come out with updates that match my needs. I love my Ipod, I loved the browsing on the iPhone, I loved the pictures, the camera and the look of the thing. (report)
Anonymous (4/24): I have not used a blackberry but have had the iphone for less than a week and plan to take it back. The first poster's list is quite accurate from my perspective. I would add a few more complaints: 1) no ability to add groups to the iphone contacts from the phone (i realize you can do this through mac contacts). If you do add contact groups through mac contacts, you cannot do anything with those groups on the iphone -- on my razr, I could send to my "family" group and hit all my siblings. 2) No ability to delete an individual call 3) No ability to clear your missed calls without clearing your entire call long 4) No ability to make the missed calls not be red 5) NOOOOO warning that the battery is going to completely die until it is ~10 minutes from death. 6) No ability to forward an individual text 7) No ability to send photos through MMS text 8) Can only send one photo at a time via EMAIL! 9) No ability to delete parts of a text log... think about this. I am texting my sister all the time and some of it I would rather my husband or kids not see - like the surprise party plans! You cannot delete the party plan texts without clearing the entire long conversation that has phone numbers and such i do not want to delete. In general i hate the lack of control! I hate not having speed dial as well. For me the battery fiascos two times in a row is a showstopper! I will be trying a Blackberry. (report)
Anonymous (4/25): blackberry sucks (report)
Tracker (4/27): First of all, this post is about Blackberry vs iPhone, and not Mac os X. I own a Mac and the operating system is a lot better than Ms Windows. I use it for research including software development and have found little problems. Going back to the phones, I think that both phones have their users, the blackberry is for a business/information user while the iphone is for a gadget like person. Both have ups and downs but on the whole i think both are better than Windows Mobile devices. After some considerable consideration and thought i finally went with a blackberry. (report)
apaszka (5/16): I have a BB 8310, the BEST phone I ever owned. My next phone probably will be the BB Bold 9000, I think this phone is the best phone ever. It has all the features that the iPhone does and ++++++++++, but I have to wait until it will be released (report)
Anonymous (5/24): iphone can't compete with the ease/latency of blackberry's email. visual voicemail is very nice, though. (report)
dfjjfdjf (5/30): ive had the %*&*^*&$ing iphone since it came out last year and it sucked #$%#^%$^. BLACKBERRY OWNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 (report)
dudernahada (6/10): I was thinking about getting the iPhone but after reading the post of what the iPhone doesn't have I'm a blackberry man for life. Cut and paste doesnt seem like anything too important but god damn you don't know what you're missing until you don't have it! (report)
Anonymous (6/11): The iphone is over rated nobody needs all those things in one phone. You get bored after a while. I'm 14 and have a blackberry pearl, yes I said it I'm 14 with a blackberry even though most people think it's crazy, my friend has the iphone and said that if she could she would switch the iphone for a blackberry. The iphone has also been hacked many times and doesn't have many of the great applications that the Blackberry does. Unless you're never home or in the country you really don't need all the things that the iphone has. (report)
Anonymous (6/21): Thank you so much for the useful information. I originally wanted a blackberry, and then I realized that the option of getting an iphone was available to me. But I just didn't know. Glad I found this site. I'm definitely sticking with my instincts and getting a blackberry. Now which kind...I originally thought curve, but now I'm definitely thinking that I should get a blackberry 8800. (report)
Anonymous (6/23): I personally never buy something that has just been released, especially from Apple who after 3 months will release a new iPhone. I am a BB user because they are tried and tested and work amazingly well. My friend has the iPhone and it is a sweet device, but for me the shortcomings really bug me. no MMS????? Crazy. Wait a year when the iPhone is in its nth generation, then maybe think about investing: don't spend $700 for it to be obsolete a few months later). BTW I am an avid mac user and have been for years, I love Apple, but I still don't trust anything 1st, 2nd or even 3rd generation from them. (report)
Anonymous (7/8): blackberry user!! and never leave my 8320 behind!... After sadly giving in to the over hyped iphone craze, I unfortunarely made the mistake of purchasing one. I have to say- what a dissapontment. Besides no MMS (?), I can't even get started on the keyboard function. The bb is practical, yet everything that u want and need, just right! Ohhhh plus I have the os 4.5 software (heehee) which jus made me grow way more attached to my bb.. Never again will I switch! (report)
Anonymous (7/15): I was waiting for the iPhone 3G for about 2 months, but after reading comments about the keyboad for texting on iPhone as not good, I changed my mind and now decided I will get the BB Curve 8320. Ease of texting is a must. I don't need a phone to watch YouTube videos, nor surf the net. All that can be done on the laptop! Besides, the BB seems to have a lot more features. I need the texting, organizer, address book features. Who cares about media on the mobile iphone when it lacks in more urgent features for business users! (report)
Anonymous (7/16): blackberry is made for business and has the best features. iPhone is attracting the teenagers and 20-30 year olds. Its a fad.. It has no real use in a business. Sure you can make an excuse but Blackberry is far more superior. (report)
Anonymous (8/2): The most annoying things about the iphone for me: (a) can't use it (easily!) with one hand, (b) terrible battery life, mine usually lasts no more than 8-10 hours with fairly modest use (c) typing sms / email is difficult with the touch screen, and takes me longer than with a normal phone, (d) no visual email / sms indicator, (e) iphone can become slow when battery goes low (f) missing many standard phone features eg. picture messaging, voice dialing, video etc. On the plus side the iphone looks nice, smooth operation (normally), and has an excellent web-browser. But it's just not enough to keep me from taking it back to the shop and going back to BB. (report)
Anonymous (8/13): BB vs. iPhone: B=Business, email processing priority; i="me" (not antagonising here - read this as "not work"..read on). Those who need to be connected to "the enterprise" will likely favour BB. Those who prioritise "the office connection" less will enjoy the bias toward the other features iPhone provides. The reviews in either column support this bias. There is no right or wrong. (report)
aml (8/13): I wasnt sure witch phone was better originally but after reading all this I definatly like the way the blackberrys sound. Blackberrys have been arould for years so most of the problems seem to be fixed. I never really liked the way the iphone looked either. It is bigger and wider than blackberrys. I felt like I was holding a brick!!!!! I also definatly need an actual keyboard not just the touchscreen! My brother has an iphone and he said that the only way to make is any good is to hack it and add things. The blackberry is coming out with an all touchscreen phone like the iphone, but I wont get that either. I like keypads!!!! (report)
asfd (9/8): thanks for those posts. unfortunately most of them must've been written by kids or ppl who don't know how to distinguish between different needs and home/office use. if apple doesn't come up with useful updates an patches the only thing the iphone does well, will be browsing and music, so i would rather buy an ipod, blackberrys are in business for a long time now and actually they work best in managing email and stuff like that. both of them (iphone and bbs) have drawbacks, but i fact most of the ppl are blinded by shape and color of the iphone. no speed dial? my alcatel one touch anno 1990 could accomplish that ;) <flame>. and talking bout your macs... try coding symbian, java, c++, and you will switch to linux or windows... (report)
Anonymous (10/27): @Anonymous 11/15- You said few would read your post; Well I read your post- that was so helpful. Thanks for compiling that list. I have been hanging onto my Blackberry Pearl, not seeing a better phone on the market. You convinced me not to switch to the iPhone based on * No cut and paste, wha? and * Not being able to save drafts, and having things 'disappear' if you get a call. I love having several apps opened on my Blackberry, and going between then. (report)
Madbird (12/1): Thanks for this, I have a BB 8800 and love it, but cannot get it to sync calendar/tasks/address book properly with my Apple MacBook. Despite trying with RIM and Apple. Still not sure wether to ditch the BB??? (report)
Anonymous (12/27): There is a lot of miss information about the Iphone. (report)
fionnpd (2/20): blackberry is rubbish, especially when the storm tried to knock iphone off the market (report)
eskiman (3/10): well i have to say after owning the iphone it was....ok. now i have the new black berry bold and iam just shocked by the clarity and sound the blackberry puts out. does the iphone have a flash for its camra...no. does the iphone have a easy to use keypad that doesnt type in really f#$&@# up words...no. and does the iphone have a very loud speaker.......heck no. the iphone may have cool apps,it might have a touchscreen. but for what reason does it constantly crash....because their demecrats!!!!!!!! lol iphone sucks blackberry rules. (report)
Anonymous (5/29): yes (report)
kyndallcake (6/5): i like blackberrys..you cant send a picture message with an iphone..theres no cut and paste on an iphone.. and with at&t i phones dont have insurance if they get broken...but blackberrys do (report)
Anonymous (6/8): Thanks. I'll stay with the 8820. I don't like the lack of media controls on the 8820 but very happy with its business capability (that's the BB main use). I do listen to music and watch video via a 4Gb card. Sound and picture is OK. PSP is by far better. Battery worked great. Can watch two 3 hours movies on transcontinental flights and still have battery left. Basic web browsing works for quick info look up. Since I don't care much about the cool look or touch screen, the BB works. I was thinking about trying out the iPhone but now no. For media/entertainment, I always carry the PSP with me on business trips. That's sufficient. Probably the major turn off items are the lack of keyboard (or grafitti entry) and no cut/paste feature. Nothing wrong with AAPL. Great company. Great stock. They make good quality products targeting consumer electronic rather than business segment. (report)

bluelinq (6/24): Beyond the Iphone hype there is nothing good about it for business use. If you want to waste time and feel like a teenager, then the iPhone is for you. If you are serious about your time and need productivity, then there is absolutely no discussion - The Blackberry is FAR supperior than any iPhone. Just a few idea to think about. Even with iPhone OS 3: 1) You can't spell check an email. Yes it has an auto change feature that is really bad and most people disable it. Blackberries had it for years.... 2) You cannot send attachments from an email. Oh yeah you can send a photo only if you are looking at the photo itself, but one and only one... 3) It drains battery like there is no tomorrow. Apple support is to disable 3G and use Edge. Now, that is a good device... It would have cost them nothing to make it a bit ticker and have a better battery. 4) You cannot delete multiple emails at one. Instead you most open each one, one by one... On a BB is a breeezzeeee. You can even do a Delete Prior for a particular date on. 5) On the Iphone you need to nagivate tne entire Imap folder structrure and click once for selecting the account, then inbox, then the email. On the BB you open email and you are done! 6) The messaging intetration sucks! ActiveSync in a joke. It is extremly limited and not properly supported by Apple nor Microsoft. 7) Security - don't get me going here.. The BES server is top notch! 8) The iPHone keyboard sucks! Not even all applications support switching to landspace like Message or Skype. Consider that with the huge side of the screen you only see 2 lines of text... It is pretty bad. No top botton hotkeys, no tasks sync 9) While the iPhone camera is nice, the is no flash, no way to zoon like you can with a BB. And last, did a mention Security? I am stuck with an iPhone for 2 years now.... what a piece of crap they are. (report)
Anonymous (6/29): i have an iphone but my brother has a blackberry. the blackberry has better internet, facebook, aim and it also has bbm. iohone is a kid phone with games only. (report)
Anonymous (7/1): Blackberry best because I own one and not iPhone. iPhone owners are panzies! (report)
Anonymous (7/3): I think business people will choose BB instead of IPhone. BB's business function is way ahead of IPhone's. So, IMHO, unless if you are a teenager which trying to look cool with a "nice-looking" gadget, you absolutely choose BB instead!! :-D (report)
notsopriestly (7/17): I can give you one word that absolutely proves that the blackberry storm is the best... are you ready for it??? -----VERIZON------- AT&T pales in comparason to the amazingness of verizon. I have had them for over 3 years and i would not trade them for anyone. (report)
Anonymous (7/22): iPhone is the best phone if you want to make light saber noises with your phone and don't plan on talking on it much. If you do anything with typing, Blackberry is where it's at. iPhone is the suckers choice, for sheep who want to pretend-shoot each other with a pretend shotgun. There's an app for that. There's nothing iPhone can do that Blackberry can't do better. Apple fan-boys are out of control. iPhone is overrated. (report)

qwerty123 (7/30): The primary function of a phone is having the ability to communicate. The I Phone is available only via ATT which has a terrible network for connectivity compared to Verizon. I know this is a carrier issue, but I need communication not 20,000 phone apps. (report)
COCODAWN (8/2): TOY VS. CLASS.........NEED I SAY MORE? (report)
Anonymous (8/3): Blackberry phones are for real business people whose always on the run. Iphones are for people that have a lot of spare time in their hands. Iphone is like having a toy. I would assume what a busy person like President Obama would prefer, the Blackberry. On the contrary, it would really be hard for me to picture the president with an Iphone. (report)

Anonymous (8/7): i have a blackberry , my boyfriend HAD an iphone now we both have blackberry bolds . one of the things that people aren't really listing is the BlackBerry Messenger! it makes it so much easier to have parties, dinners and mini meetings when you can tell all the people you want when to be there ! it also makes it so that you don't have to explain who will be there and who wont be because it will be right infront of them ! as much as the touch screen and apps on the iphone are fun its not always the most convenient type of key board. he has fallen in love with his blackberry and tells everyone he knows that as much as the iphone is great getting a blackberry is the better choice. and if you really want the apps and the touch screen then get an ipod touch ! (report)
Anonymous (8/12): Has anyone actually owned a Blackberry and tried to get it repaired when it goes faulty? Their attitude is "Its obviously your fault, you're an idiot and our phones don't break down" and trying to call their "Customer Services" dept is like waiting to be executed... My Blackberry literally blew up one day. The battery indicated it needed charging and I plugged it in to the charger. There was a smell like burning plastic and it went off, never to switch on again and therefore deleting all my saved contacts etc in the phone. Blackberry refused to admit there was an issue with it even though when i took it to a mobile phone store they said they got about 5-6 a month doing the same thing... After 4 months of arguing I had to claim on my insurance to get a new phone... put it straight on ebay and got the i-phone... my apologies to the person who bought it... I will never deal with RIM again in my life... (report)
Anonymous (8/13): Both phones are great...I have had a chance to use both phones. I currently own a Blackberry Curve and my wife has a Iphone. I am looking to upgrade. I have come down to (3) phones..BB Bold, BB Curve 8900 and the Iphone...although I am still undecided I am currently leaning towards one of the BB phones for one good reason. DURABILITY! Everybody I know who has owned an Iphone has had to replace it because they dropped it and cracked the screen. Not that I recommend doing it but..I have dropped my BB COUNTLESS times..I have a 2 yr old who has thrown it across the room and against walls countless times. I have FULLY submerged it in water TWICE! And in the 2 years I have owned it I have never had a problem or had to replace it. Maybe it is just dumb luck..but the BB seems WAY more durable than the Iphone. I just don't want to have to replace a phone because I dropped it once or twice. Call me a clumsy ass...My BB is a brick!! (report)

willUK (9/1): As a web developer who owns neither (I actually own the NokiaE71), I can say that I am sick to death of this nauseating debate. The Blackberry is particularly good for professional, office based applications - and is exceptional for the creation and editing of excel, word and powerpoint files...It also has a good GPS system. In these areas it is stronger than the iPhone. I also don't like touch screen, because I think that they tend to break/malfunction/lose sensitivity after regular heavy use. As I don't use my phone for multi media purposes i.e. video or music, the Blackberry for me would be the appropriate choice. the iPhone on the other hand (as far as I'm aware) has a greater MP3 capacity, and loads of pre installed apps (Although it does store files in the standard apple format((can't remember the file type)), rather than standard MP3 format). So if you want to store loads of music and other media, and gain access to them easily, go for the iPhone. But, if you want a PDA for business purposes, go for the Blackberry every time. (report)
JLG (9/7): My opinion is I think both phones are good. They both have great features. I prefer the Blackberry. (report)

Anonymous (9/23): One Word... Multitasking. iPhone has very little multitasking (only with a few native apps), but BlackBerry's allow you to handle several apps all at once. This is the sole reason why I stick to my BlackBerry. Downside, the iPhone has a much nicer user interface. (report)

Anonymous (10/6): If you like PLAYING with your phone, get yourself an iphone...if you USE your phone, go with a Blackberry. I have friends with iphones, they can do neat little fun stuff with their phones....but I can actually do something useful with mine. (BB Curve 8330 owner) Oh, and I read all the time about people buying iphones and returning them to go back to a Blackberry...I've never heard of someone buying a Blackberry and returning it to go to an iphone. Yes, the iPhone is pretty, and it has lots of fun games, but as a phone? Yuck. (report)

THIS MESSAGE IS ON YOUR SIDE SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO SCROLL AROUND ON YOUR TIDY SCREENS!; The guy who made the two posts below me is the biggest thicko in the world.

I know some of you guys are gonna talk crap, but that's what I think. (report)

Anonymous (10/26): The blackberry is Phenomena. Unlike the iphone the blackberry aka Crackberry gives u the feeling of creation with its responsive keyboard, notification LED, custom Ringtones, and Amazing Audio quality. Also the ability to edit and create files with microsoft word and html emailing system which is beautiful. I had the option of getting either a Iphone or blackberry Bold. And my Blackberry Bold has yet to dissatify me. (report)

joe4312 (10/27): Joe4312 I've had a 8300 for a couple of years but been doing a lot debating with myself over a bold or an iphone. I've done a ton of research and I know people with both phones and have tried them out a good bit, they are both amazing phones but I've come to the conclusion that the iphone has a lot of neat fun stuff but the bb is far more practical, it has to many features to list that are really handy and make things easy that the iphone cant touch. The iphone might be better for the younger crowd, but for the connoisseur, the blackberry is the way to go. PS, can't wait to try out the new touch pad on the bold 9700 ! (report)

Anonymous (11/10): I have been using the iphone since the beginning, now I have the iphone 3G and was thinking about the BB, so I have been reading all kind of articles about the Blackberry, all what a BB can do and I'll just recommend you, that if you are using an iphone, don't you ever think about changing to a BB. It's just coming from the future to the present. If you have never use an iphone, then you will have to get use to it. It's so simple, that it may be hard at the beginning to find things. But once you learn to use, you will never go back to a BB. (report)

Anonymous (11/13): I dont knkow how old that last post is but umm... 1. you do have a voice memo option now 4. you can cut and paste.. 5.you could always lock your iphone on demand! the little lock button on the top of the iphone? 6. it does save email drafts.. and your text should still be there when you get back to it.. 8. you now have a search feature to find anything on your iphone 9. I'd rather tap twice than hold down the key :/ 11. theres a search option on the top of the contact list 14. dont be lazy 15. you can now 16. yes there is cut and paste 17. if you were really interested in taking pictures you'd buy a proper camera not use a phone camera (report)
Anonymous (11/14): Well taking the phones out of it, I just think I-phone owners are tools. They bring out their phone at every opportunity to show it off(Look at me, Look at me, Im Special!). So I got nothing against the phone itself, just the people who buy them. That is why I'll never buy one. Also, the I-phone has cool features, but as easy and convenience goes, the Blackberry is better! (report)
sazzlesazzle (11/15): I love my Blackberry Curve. I have owned touch screen phones in the past and they always crashed and froze; the Blackberry's keyboard doesnt have this problem. It seems to lack the fun factor of the iphone but the functions are fast and reliable. They are also sturdy and good if you're clumsy. I've accidentally dropped mine several times and there isn't even a scratch on it. I think the Blackberry would be difficult to use if you had large fingers. It isn't able to stream YouTube videos, download PDF from the internet and lacks Java and the App store is limiting. In all though I am glad I chose a Blackberry because my priorities are a reliable, fast and sturdy phone /internet coverage and I don't need the hassle of things breaking and crashing. There aren't any flash applications but it is a very functional and practical phone. But if you insist on YouTube and games etc go for the iPhone. (report)
reason1 (11/24): I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY BB USERS ARE SO ANGRY WITH THE IPHONE. THIS IS THE FUTURE, I UNDERSTAND THAT CHANGE IS ALWAYS DIFFICULT FOR SOME VERRY MUCH LIKE RELIGION. I READ MUST OF THESE POSTS AND 99.5 OF THEM ARE THOSE WHO ARE ANGRY OR DISLIKE A PRODUCT. YOU DON'T HAVE TO OWN ONE AND THERE ARE MILLIONS OF PEOPLE OUTHERE THAT STILL WANT INOVATIVE PRODUCTS. IF YOU'RE A BLACKBERRY USER, YOUR WORLD IS E-MAIL, APPOINTMENTS. BUT EVERYTHING ELSE IS THE SAME AS THE EARLY 90'S. THIS IS 2009 AND TIME FOR INOVATIONS. THE 3G'S IPHONE CAN DO EVERYTHING THAT ITS PREDECESSOR WAS CRITICIZED FOR AS LONG AS YOU KNOW HOW TO USE IT. WHAT YOU PEOPLE NEED TO DO IS TO GO TO THE APPLEWEBSITE AND WATCH THE TUTORIAL VIDEO THAT TEACHES HOW TO USE THE DEVICE BEFORE CRITICIZING IT. THEN get an iphone. (report)
pedalshoe (11/26): I just tried to copy a video file from my bb bold and put it on the iphone.. no luck. I phone can't read it. I tried to sync a movie from my itunes but I got a message stating that the iphone can't play or read the file. Now, trying to copy a movie from the iphone to the bb bold.. no problem. if it is a .mov it can either convert to a mp4 or leave it unconverted. and it plays just fine. bb wins for me. (report)

The iPhone is like a lazy piece of junk waiting for a miracle to happen. I have a BlackBerry®, and I can tell you that I am in loooove with it. The BlackBerry® can do multitasking. The iPhone could only do one thing at a time. That's how you waste time. I was downloading something, listening to music, and playing an action game ALL AT THE SAME TIME. The iPhone needs to grow up. (report)
Anonymous (12/7): two words: battery life two more words: physical keyboard (report)
Anonymous (12/7): yeah (report)
Anonymous (12/10): WTF are you five years old? get a real phone, not a toy. (report)
Anonymous (12/11): I don't own either, but I will probably get a BB just because the BB responses show to be written by much more sophisticated people. The iPhone responses look like they have been written by a bunch of punk teenagers. BB it is. (report)
janedoe (12/14): Blackberry's combination of Blackberry Messenging (BBM) and Verizon's solid coverage make it no competition for the iPhone. I got my blackberry battery and battery cords for FREE at freecellstuff.net-Check it out! (report)
freecellstuff (12/14): Get FREE blackberry chargers (both home and car chargers) and FREE batteries at freecellstuff.net -GREAT SITE! (report)
Anonymous (12/16): Blackberry is better all is need to be said. (report)
Anonymous (12/21): Blackberry is best you dont have to have skinny fingers 1 type on a blackberry and u can set up a lot of stuff on ur blackberry ya the iphone lets u download songs right then and now but not ringtones and if u want a sone get a freaking computer (report)
CMJ (12/23): Had a Curve, switched to iPhone and back to a Bold 9700. You people with iPhones...how do you actually enjoy using them since the freakin' battery is always dead. -Call volume on iphone sucks -Email sucks -No Blackberry Messenger...you wouldnt care unless you actually had something that works as great as BBM. -No Genuine AOL, Yahoo, ICQ or Live messengers -Battery life sucks -Email sucks -Predictive text sucked and no custom dictionary -Touchscreen sucks -Battery life sucked -No camera flash -Camera controls sucked -Email Sucked NO MULTITASKING!!! You Pandora listeners dont know how important this is -Copy and paste sucked on iphone -Battery life sucked -Email sucked -Cant create multiple playlists on device -Cant tether -Cant control music outside of device or when locked What I liked about iPhone -larger screen -browser -some of the apps (GPS related) -compass (report)
djfixxx (12/26): The Blackberry is more fit for and was designed for corporate users. Anonymous is right about the lacking of features on the iPhone compared to uses we are used to on the Blackberry. The iPhone is for kids and people who want to play allot. I've had my share of teaching people the iPhone and it;s calendar problems and time synch issues. (report)
djfixxx (12/26): If you are a corporate heavy user and like the features like autotext, voice dial, search emails and text messages and alternate rings like vibrate and emergency rings then you need the blackberry. The iPhone does not have these features at all. (report)
mohammedali (12/27): I really dun hav any idea which one to buy ... coz I am pretty indecisive for both of them and thats the reason why I opened this site for the reviews!! Any suggestions coz I feel that if I buy a blakberry then maybe I might regret buying an iphone for the next couple of years until I plan on buying another phone buh I think that by that tym Apple would have made the iPhone technology well-tested and more user-friendly in alkmost all aspects buh please ppl ... suggest me wat to buy coz I am lyk totally obsessed with which one to buy??? (report)
Anonymous (12/28): I have a Blackberry Tour, and I'm in love with it. Number one best thing is how superior the emailing is. Checking: deleting, sending, all just a piece of cake. Also, customizing how my phone alerts me is astounding. Perfect for business use, and alarm clock use. My two favorite apps are, Superpages(Yellowpages), and Poynt. Poynt is an app where you can look up any restaurant, any business, or any movie theater, movie show times, reviews, etc. It also gives fantastic directions to the place from your gps location. I'm sure the iPhone has this too, but eh. The BB also has something call Blackberry Messenger. It's pretty much texting, but at the speed of instant messaging. Also, groups can be made, and within these groups, pictures can be sent instantly, and shown to all the group members. But of course, only BB users can use Blackberry Messenger. To conclude, yes, the iPhone is cute and fun, but I'm too damn busy to be toying with a PHONE. Online Connect 4 is more than enough for me. Side note: as I was reading the the 2 columns for BB vs. iPhone, the maturity level is very unbalanced. The BB column seems to have a billion times legit reasons of why iPhones are worthless. iPhone users just keep saying, "nahhh, da iPhone is da best!" How about we check our grammar. I hate reading poor written/typed grammar. Bottom line, if you're looking primarily for fun and nothing more, I guess the iPhone is the way to go. If you want to be organized, and in control with absolutely everything, I strongly recommend the BB. One more thing! The BB's battery life is beyond greater then the iPhone, Copy and paste is a necessity, and lastly, LED alerts damn right convenient. (report)
santana_21714 (12/29): iphone is a toy, blackberry is classy and slick in design, to me its kinda comparing a SONY TV to a MITSUBISHI TV LOL, FOR REALS (report)
Anonymous (12/31): If you really want to be alerted when something happens, Blackberry is the way to go. iphone is a toy. It's pretty and fun to play with. But when it comes to paging, iPhone sucks. (report)
Anonymous (1/4): All I can say to the below post is you're doing it wrong. My iphone has cut and paste, push the button on top to lock it, there is a voice memo recorder (it's the thing that says "voice memos" on the first screen with the microphone for a symbol), When you go back into your e-mail after your phone you should get your message right back up on the screen, If you can't figure out how to do the ring profiles you need to learn how to operate a mobile device (it's under the settings menu btw) Honestly it seems to me that 99.9% of your problems would be resolved simply by either playing with the device for 15 minutes or reading the freeking manual. Everything isn't going to be laid out in exactly the same way as your BB... but the vast majority of the things you are complaining about should be readily visible to you with 5 seconds of looking. (report)
Anonymous (1/4): Thanks so much for posting the long list, just wat i was looking for!!!:-) (report)
gio (1/4): I would like to know what kind of stuff does the Iphone have?? i use to have a Blackberry and i loved it but i would like to know if the iphone has the same kind of stuff as the blackberry (report)
Anonymous (1/6): To the one who made a list. I THINK YOU JUST DON'T KNOW HOW TO USE AN iPHONE. (report)
Anonymous (1/6): Seems like iPhone users are logical in their comments while those using BBs are sour graping. That's a copy and paste from an iPhone. (report)
Anonymous (1/6): OoOo, so i spent an hour reading posts of people spazzing at eachother. people are saying that the iphone is better because theres wi-fi music blah blah, and the BB is better when it comes to using it as a phone... so - im going to get a BB, sorry iphone users and an itouch? its a perfect combo, for music and entertainment and wi-fi, i can use the itouch, and the BB has everything a phone needs and more even.. (report)
Iloveblackberry (1/6): I dont like the touch screen on the iphone. The qwerty keyboard defeats the purpose of having a iphone. A iphone may be good for music and it may have a lot of apps. The blackberry beats the iphone in texting and emailing their are so many tricks you can do on the blackberry that you cant do on a iphone such as anonymous said. If you want a phone that doesnt have a battery back and you cant get more gigybites unless you buy another good for you. With a blackberry i can change my memory anytime. If my phone frezzes all i have to do is a battery pull (report)
Anonymous (1/11): Love my blackberry she's the best! (report)
Anonymous (1/12): Well I haven't seen any new posts. has this thread gone cold? (report)
imdaman (1/14): Touch screens are so annoying.. they go off randomly and are easily broken... Blackberry all they way.. dnt like the new touch screen (report)
Dymnd (1/14): i can't live w/o my BB (report)
Anonymous (1/16): I have the curve 8330 and I have had no problems at all. My friends have the iphone and the texting is horrible, I have some that have had it over a year and still make tons of errors. My blackberry is way more durable than an iphone, it's had a few drops but just a few scratches, I've had my blackberry for a year and a buddy has had 3 iphones since then. Blackberry is easy to hold with many convenient features. Blackberry is the way to go. (report)
Anonymous (1/18): I have a BB pearl AND an Ipod touch, best of both worlds , one is to keep my life together and running in a small neat package, the other for FUN...only! (report)
Anonymous (1/19): the bold sucks? (report)
don2705a (1/19): I just got a new Iphone a few days ago and really want to make it work for me. Is there a way to access phone numbers or email addresses in the notes section of Contacts on the Iphone and actually call or email someone from the highlighted information like I could on my Blackberry? Thanks, DC (report)
kaos1 (1/20): I had the iphone 3G until they released the update which allowed the screen to switch landscape views depending on how it is being held. that's what made me switch. it's bad enough they force me to use itunes, and does not allow me to customize my phone, but they will not force me to sit straight up while using this device!!!! I hated laying down and checkin my emails/txts and it would switch upside down!! WTF! BLACKBERRY 9000, 9700 IS THE BEST!! (report)
xd9chris (1/24): The blackberry is a better more durable phone. It has been out longer and is more tried and proving over the iphone. If you go to any buisness or corparation what do you see a office full of blackberries not iphones. The iphone is for the person that wants to say hey i have something better than you because it is different me personally i carry the blackberry bold 9700 and absoultly love it. I will never go back to a standard cell phone again. Apple needs to stick to making computers and mp3 players and leave the cell phone market to the true cell phone makers. (report)
Anonymous (1/25): BlackBerry is the one. First time in my life i can do anything i want from a PDA. I phone is not for someone that needs reliability and every day hard use. Due to my recent promotion as an IT manager my company gave me the Bold 9700. I was using a Nokia but when i open the box i fall in love. My wife have an iphone but she will switch to a BlackBery next month. (report)

dsadas (2/1): If you want to show off get Iphone (isn't that the reason why most of the people got Iphones for?) If you need reliable and heavy usage device get Blackberry. (report)
Anonymous (2/2): Glad to see the posts here. My wife has an iPhone, I have an iTouch. I do not think anything will beat Apple's user interface in the short term. But, I need a smart and effecient phone for use in business world, so I will get me a Blackberry. (report)
aloofah (2/4): I love my blackberry even with all the flaws. I was recently on an outing and didn't have a clue as how to get around an unknown city so I ask my GPS to guide me and it told me how to find the closes store and the direction and time it will take me to get there. (report)
